HTML Tutorial

Introduction

In 1980, Tim Berners-Lee, who was a contractor at CERN, proposed and prototyped ENQUIRE, a system for CERN researchers to use and share documents. In 1989, Berners-Lee wrote a memo proposing an Internet-based hypertext system. Berners-Lee specified HTML and wrote the browser and server software in the last part of 1990. Here we provide the HTML Tutorial For Beginners from basic level to advance level tutorial for HTML which can be defined using the some points:

HTML is referred as Hyper Text Markup Language. HTML is used for developing or creating static web pages. HTML documents contain html tags. All the content is written inside the corresponding tags. It is mainly written using editors like 'Notepad', 'Adobe Dreamweaver', ‘Notepad++’ etc. The extension of HTML document is '.html'. It means, a file containing the code of HTML will be saved as 'example.html'. These files can be directly run into the browsers like 'Internet Explorer', 'Mozilla Firefox', 'Google Chrome' etc. Interpreter is used to interpret the HTML code if any error found in the code then that function will not work properly so we can use the editor to avoid the mistakes and can save the time. Here simple tutorial is available who wants to make his/her carrier in the web designing. eitworld.com provides Basic Html coding for beginners and also contains this basic coding with examples. HTML is the backbone of the web designing; without using the HTML the development of the web designing is very tough because when we open any site to access the information then first the information is get converted into the HTML then it displays to the user.

Using the HTML5 Tutorial For Beginners With Examples; we can develop the interactive designs for the website. We can use the animation using the version of HTML which is HTML5. It supports many new features like animations, creating slide show using HTML5. We can also apply the computer graphics using the HTML such as rotation of the objects, we can create canvas feature; we can give the link on image means one image can contain the several hyperlinks which uses the coordinates point to define the hyperlinks on the image.

Here eitworld.com provides the Beginner HTML Tutorials For Students which gives better way to learn basic HTML programs and Practice HTML programs questions in the easy and smart way; here all the concepts are well explained with examples so that students can feel the better experience with great happiness to learn Html programming practice with one click.

HTML history

In 1980, physicist Tim Berners-Lee, who was a contractor at CERN, proposed and prototyped ENQUIRE, a system for CERN researchers to use and share documents. In 1989, Berners-Lee wrote a memo proposing an Internet-based hypertext system. Berners-Lee specified HTML and wrote the browser and server software in the last part of 1990. In that year, Berners-Lee and CERN data systems engineer Robert Cailliau collaborated on a joint request for funding, but the project was not formally adopted by CERN. In his personal notes from 1990 he lists "some of the many areas in which hypertext is used" and puts an encyclopedia first.

HTML Tags

■ HTML tags are keywords that are used to specify how the content of the page will be displayed.

■ The tags are always enclosed within angle brackets i.e. <tag> .

■ There is generally a pair of every tag, one is start (or opening) tag and other is end (or closing) tag. End tag is written like </tag> .

■ There is no restriction in HTML to use end tag but using this is a good practice as there may be undesired results if they are not used.

E.g.

<Name of Tag>Content </ Name of Tag>

■ For some tag, there is no End tag defined. Only start tag is used for them.

■ Note: The tags that have no End tag defined for them, their start tag is closed with a slash( / ). E.g. <tag/>

HTML Elements

◉ A tag along with its content is called an HTML Element.

E.g.

<b> Example of Element </b>

◉ Here the complete statement above is an HTML Element.

HTML Attributes

◉ Attribute means Property. Several attributes are defined for HTML elements. These attributes provide additional information about the element and help in better formatting of the web page.

E.g.

<form action= "sample1.html">

...

</form>

■ Here 'action' is the attribute for this form element.

■ 'action' is the name of the attribute and 'sample1.html' is the value of the attribute.

■ Attributes are defined in opening tag.

■ It is a good practice to enclose the value of an attribute in double quotes("...").
