HTML Headings

  • Heading of something should be bigger than the other text.
  • In Html 6 tags are used to present a text as heading.
  • <h1>, <h2>, <h3>, <h4>, <h5>, <h6> are called Heading Tags. They make the text enclosed by them bigger than normal so that it looks like heading.
  • <h1> presents the most important heading and <h6> presents the least important heading.
  • These tags should only be used in case of headings. Do not use them for formatting the text i.e. making a text bold.

<h1>Heading here </h1>

<h1>This is h1</h1>
<h2>This is h2</h2>
<h3>This is h3</h3>
<h4>This is h4</h4>
<h5>This is h5</h5>
<h6>This is h6</h6>

As seen in the example, the text that is surrounded by <h1> is the biggest. Then the size is decreasing as the number with <h> increases and finally <h6> gives the smallest heading.
